Since 2009, AMECO has had a partnership with the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC). This university ranks #4 among the top French engineering schools and has been recognised for its cutting edge R&D activities. Specifically, AMECO collaborates with UTC’s Roberval Laboratory, an institute specialised in mechanics, acoustics and vibrations, materials and design.

Over the past four years, the UTC Master students associated with the Roberval Laboratory have engaged in research projects aimed at improving the design of AMECO’s bulk material handling systems. The students’ research enables AMECO to fulfil its goal of consistently meeting and succeeding customer expectations. As such, the collaboration with UTC is extremely valuable to AMECO.

To show its appreciation to the UTC students and to strengthen its bond with them, AMECO has now organised a competition. Over the course of the next six months the UTC students will work in groups on AMECO related projects. At the end of the six-month period, a jury composed of UTC and AMECO representatives will evaluate their results. The members of the group deemed best will win a special prize: an all expenses paid trip to one of AMECO’s 380+ machines delivered to its global clients. Because nothing is more valuable for a newly graduated engineer than practical experience!
